I keep mixing up ΠΊΠ°ΠΊΠΎΠΉ (what kind of / which) and ΠΊΠ°ΠΊ (how). Can someone give a simple rule or examples?

ΠΠ°ΠΊΠΎΠΉ asks about a noun: "What kind of book?" β ΠΠ°ΠΊΡΡ ΠΊΠ½ΠΈΠ³Ρ ΡΡ ΡΠΈΡΠ°Π΅ΡΡ? ΠΠ°ΠΊ asks about manner/way: "How are you?" β ΠΠ°ΠΊ Π΄Π΅Π»Π°? So: ΠΊΠ°ΠΊΠΎΠΉ + noun, ΠΊΠ°ΠΊ + verb/adjective/state.

That helps! So "how do you say X" is ΠΊΠ°ΠΊ ΡΠΊΠ°Π·Π°ΡΡ, and "which word" would be ΠΊΠ°ΠΊΠΎΠ΅ ΡΠ»ΠΎΠ²ΠΎ. Got it.
