Any tricks to learn Russian cases? Which are easiest or hardest?

Cases are killing me. Is there an order that's easier to learn? Any mnemonics or tricks that actually work?

A common order: start with Nominative (dictionary form), then Accusative (direct object—fairly straightforward). Genitive (possession, "of") has clear patterns. Dative and Instrumental get trickier with prepositions. Prepositional (only with certain prepositions like "in", "about") often feels the hardest. Tip: learn them with phrases and verbs you use often, not in isolation. Some people use the mnemonic "Ivan Gave Birth to a Girl, Ordered to Drag a Nappy" for the order (Иван Родил Девчонку…).

Flashcards with full phrases (not just single words) help. So does writing short texts and getting them corrected. We do a lot of case practice in our grammar track.

The phrase tip helps—I was only drilling single words before. Thanks!
